As the Wax Queen of Rhode Island 👑, here’s exactly how I want you to prepare for your very first Brazilian wax:

✨ If you’re currently shaving, do one final full shave or buzz-down and then allow about 14 days of growth before your appointment.

✨ Dry brush or gently exfoliate the bikini area the night before your wax.

✨ Avoid caffeine the day of your appointment until after you’ve been waxed. Trust me on this one. 😂

✨ About 45 minutes before your appointment, take 2 pain relievers (if appropriate for you) and a non-drowsy antihistamine.

Now here’s the part a lot of people don’t realize:

After your first wax, you’ll follow a 4–5 week schedule with NO shaving in between.

When clients come back after their first wax, they’re often shocked by how sparse the regrowth is. Some areas don’t grow back at all, and that’s exactly what we want.

Consistent waxing helps weaken the follicle over time, which means hair often grows back finer, slower, and patchier. I call this hair training.

When you shave in between, you’re basically resetting the progress we’re trying to make.

And as always, my treatment room is a safe space for women of all ages, shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and experience levels.

Whether it’s your first wax or your fiftieth, you deserve to feel confident, comfortable, and taken care of. 💕
