At this point, it is becoming increasingly difficult to understand why social media appears to be showing more urgency and concern about what happened to Nolan Wells than the law-enforcement agencies responsible for investigating his disappearance. That is unacceptable.

Months have passed, and Nolan’s family is still left with questions that deserve answers. This was somebody’s son, somebody’s friend, and a young man whose friends have reportedly described him as a good person. Yet his family continues to live with the unbearable reality of not knowing what really happened to him.

Law enforcement owes this family more than silence. They deserve to know what investigative steps have been taken, what remains outstanding, and whether every reasonable lead has been thoroughly pursued.

If there are legitimate investigative reasons why information cannot be released publicly, then say that. But silence, delays, and unanswered questions only deepen the frustration and anguish of a family already suffering.

His family deserves answers.
