While we are not able to close after a week of closure, I am looking forward to donating a portion of our sales to the ACLU this weekend, along with a grassroots organization that is helping members of our immigrant communities, especially families with children.
As a parent, and as a business owner with customers who are parents of the sweetest littles, my heart aches for the families who are being torn apart. Communities full of traumatized children who will spend a lifetime trying to overcome what has happened to them through no fault of their own. Those images and stories are seared into my brain, and if we can help them recover, I will gladly contribute.
I hope compassion, empathy and community prevail in these divisive times. And as always, I hope that Take Care feels like a safe space for all.
