Last month we shared excerpts from one of Ada’s Substacks that broke down oxidants, antioxidants, and how they relate to skin. Ada goes further in depth specifically on iron chelation, the process by which iron is neutralized in the body and inhibits the creation of reactive oxygen species (also known as ROS). ROS are oxidants - aka the umbrella that includes free radicals - which we know are not good! Learn why, while everyone else is obsessing over iron and protein, we’re putting our skepticism hats on.
