Update on Fire at My Orange Wellness

Dear Friends, Clients, and Community,

As many of you may have already heard, there was a fire at my office building on Thursday night. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Several businesses and residences in the building were affected, including the offices above mine, The Ugly Mug, and other neighboring businesses. Most devastatingly, the psychic and her family who lived upstairs lost their home and, sadly, their beloved cat. Thankfully, no family members were home at the time of the fire and everyone is safe.

My office, along with the tax office, sustained primarily water damage as well as some structural damage to the front portion of the space. While the damage is significant, I am grateful that lives were spared. Property can be repaired and replaced—people cannot.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has called, texted, checked in, offered assistance, and sent love and encouragement. The outpouring of support has been overwhelming in the best possible way. This community we have built together in Washington, DC has been a part of my life for nearly ten years, and I am deeply grateful for each of you.

This July, I will celebrate ten years of serving Capitol Hill through My Orange Wellness. Ten years of supporting growing families, helping clients heal, and building meaningful relationships within this community. While this fire has changed the location where I practice, it has not changed my purpose. I cannot let this event be the end of a decade of work, service, and connection. My commitment to this community remains as strong as ever, and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.

For clients with appointments scheduled over the next several weeks, I will still be able to see you. I am working with Breathing Space on Pennsylvania Avenue SE to utilize their studio as a temporary location while I secure a new permanent space. I will reach out to all of you in the next few days. Also, I will continue to provide updates, directions, parking information, and any scheduling or logistical changes as they arise.

If you have been wondering how you can help, the greatest support you can offer right now is to continue keeping your appointments and supporting my business during this transition. Your continued trust and commitment will help me rebuild and move forward.

Thank you for standing with me during this difficult time. Your support, kindness, and encouragement remind me why I chose to build my business here ten years ago. I am grateful, I am hopeful, and I am looking forward to what comes next.
