Earlier this year I had the pleasure of working with Sed Gary 📸 for this tv campaign. How I found them…fate.

Producer/ Audio Engineer and I go way back. I’m talking college days (s/o Morgan State University ). While casually mentioning my plans on filming a commercial I asked if he knew any production companies and was introduced to Sed of Sed Gary 📸

It ended up working out where not only did Sed & his amazing team film & design this campaign, but Producer/ Audio Engineer developed the background music you hear 🔥

Here you have a Black-owned nail polish company, film crew & music director. Shoot day reminded me of the beauty and fruits born from attending Morgan, 20+ years later.

When I talk about community, I speak of one of our longest running salon partners opening their doors on a non-business day so we could film 💅🏾

Big thank you to Cortney and the Non-Toxic Nail Salon | Takoma Park team! You didn’t have to but you did and I appreciate that deeply 🫶🏾

Last but certainly not least, thank you Warren Marketing & Media for sharing the genesis that led to me developing this tv spot. Had it not been for that, I wouldn’t have pushed myself to create this.

All in all, nothing is done without a team. Whether it’s people pushing you, supporting you or working with you, it takes a village and I’m thankful for mine.

In closing I’ll ask, when’s the last time you’ve worn a purpose driven, Black-woman owned nail polish? There’s no better time than the present to polish with a purpose.
