The work ethic of the ant is incredible! They can't do a lot at one time but through hard work and perseverance, they achieve what needs to be done, one micro bite at a time! Be like an Ant!
The best part of hiking is that you never know what beauty is around the next bend in the trail to be discovered! At the end of this beautiful hike, I certainly didn't expect I'd be asked to video a surprise proposal! It was a wonderful surprise!
Garfield Peak Trail.... worth the effort!
A lovely hike to Garfield Peak at Crater Lake National Park! It is about 3.3 miles in total with about 1000' elevation gain. It's rated strenuous. But the views make it worth the effort.

I'm thinking to hike the "Dread and Terror", 13 mile section of the Umpqua trail tomorrow. Any takers? If not I'm heading elsewhere as I'm not going out and back! Need a car at both ends.
An easy 2.5 mile out and back hike along a beautiful creek covered with old growth trees.
