We’re CJ and Stevie D, an adventure travel couple and currently live on a remote island in Alaska. 🏔️🐻 We’d love for you to follow along on our page and if you already are, thank you for being here! We’re going on year 2 living in Alaska and cannot get enough of it. Yes, we have our fair share of rainy days, cold weather, and darkness…but on a clear day nothing beats it. We love the simple way of life on our island and the tight-knit community. We love living at the foot of the mountains while simultaneously being right next to the ocean. We love the fresh smells of Sitka spruce and being greeted by whales on our walks. My entry into the April Soap Challenge. :0) Wish me luck!!

This soap challenge was created by Tatiana Serko of Creative Soap by Steso.

This cold processed/oven processed soap was created using inside template of polymer clay laid at the bottom of the mold and a top template to hold the 72 straws vertical. Using great care to pour the soap around the straws to prevent air gaps and holes. Wanting a bright summer soap called Island Nectur and six fun colors.

12 hours after pouring the base, I removed the straws leaving the holes to create the polka dots of vibrant purple. All colors by Mad Mica
