Microneedling can work wonders for your skin, but only if you take care of it afterwards! Don't skip the aftercare - follow these dos and don'ts to ensure a smooth recovery and amazing results!

✨ Do: Be Gentle! Your skin will be sensitive after microneedling. Use a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water, and avoid scrubbing or rubbing. Choose mild cleansers. Look for “sulfate-free,” “fragrance-free,” or “pH-balanced” on the label. Cream or gel cleansers formulated for sensitive skin are often good choices.

🚫 Don't: Use Active Ingredients. Steer clear of retinoids, exfoliants, and other harsh skincare products for at least a week after microneedling.

✨ Do: Adopt a minimal skincare routine: Focus on the essentials, such as a gentle cleanser, a soothing serum or moisturizer, and sunscreen. Hyaluronic Acid is a great serum to incorporate post treatment to ensure proper hydration.

🚫 Don't: Wear makeup. Give your skin time to breathe. Skip makeup for the first 24-48 hours after your treatment.

✨ Do: Protect your skin! Sun protection is non-negotiable. Shield your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 every day, even when it’s cloudy.

🚫 Don't: Sweat it out. Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sweating for the first few days. Sweat can irritate your skin and hinder healing. Also, stay clear of heat such as Saunas, Hot Tubs, or Steam Rooms for at least 7 days following your treatment.

✨Do: Wait at least 24 hours post microneedling to wash your face! Use lukewarm water when you do cleanse! Hot water kills skin cells and can further aggravate your skin.

🚫 Don't: Take any NSAIDS. Avoid anti-inflammatory medications like Ibuprofen, Motrin, or Advil for about a week. Tylenol is recommended for any discomfort following the treatment.

Post-treatment care is the difference between achieving optimal results and preventing complications like infection, hyperpigmentation, or delayed healing. Every client I see leaves with a home care kit and plenty of instructions to ensure you're getting the most out of your treatment! 💉 What is Microneedling?

Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) uses tiny, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-channels stimulate your body’s natural healing response, triggering the production of fresh collagen and elastin — the building blocks of smooth, firm, youthful skin.

🕐 What a Typical Treatment Looks Like

Each session takes about 45–60 minutes.

I start by cleansing your skin and applying a numbing cream for comfort.

Using a professional MicroPen device, I gently glide over the skin to create micro-channels at a customized depth. You should feel minimal to no discomfort!

We finish with soothing, hydrating serums to calm and nourish your freshly treated skin. You will also take home a Young Goose skincare kit to ensure proper aftercare that will not only enhance your results but also help continue to sooth and hydrate your skin during the healing process.

Your skin may look a little pink afterward — like a mild sunburn — but most redness fades within 24-48 hours. You’ll notice a healthy glow within days, with continued improvement over the following weeks as new collagen forms.

📅 How Many Sessions Will I Need?

For best results, we usually recommend a series of 3–4 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions a few times a year.✨
