Exciting news about another former Lakeland student-athlete:

Class of 2017 graduate Ronnie Attard signed a two-way contract with the Detroit Red Wings this week. Attard, a defenseman, made his NHL debut with the Philadelphia Flyers several years ago after playing collegiate hockey at Western Michigan University.

The past two years, Attard played with the minor league affiliates for the Edmonton Oilers and the Colorado Avalanche.
