I’m selecting five portfolio models to help showcase the different levels of Glitterlites available through Amanda Smith Bridal—from just a touch of shimmer to a full, dimensional sparkling transformation. These are professional heat resistant glitter strands that get hand-tied directly to your hair

Models needed:

✨ 5 Glitterlites — $5
✨ 10 Glitterlites — $10
✨ 25 Glitterlites — $25
✨ 50 Glitterlites — $50
✨ 100 Glitterlites — $90

Each model appointment includes customized Glitterlite placement and light styling for the finished photos.

In exchange for these limited model rates, selected participants must allow additional time for application of strands, styling, and before-and-after photography or video for Amanda Smith Bridal’s portfolio and promotional materials. Hair-only photo options are available, and all permissions will be discussed before booking.

All hair colors and textures are welcome! I’d especially love to showcase a variety of looks—from subtle and sophisticated to colorful and bold.

Appointments will take place in Waterloo, Iowa. Models will be intentionally selected based on portfolio needs, availability, and desired application; spots are not first come, first served.

Unrelated note, I get asked, why don’t you have more on social media? Why don’t you post more often?
Truth: I get scared! I am so confident in my styling, I don’t even bat an eye. But social media posting? What if I do it wrong, or don’t put an eye catching caption, or I spend the next two weeks wondering if it was the right angle/lighting/all the things that people talk about needing? Well, as I encourage my kids to do, I am going to just start trying and it will get better over time. So, bear with me as I learn and grow in the online portfolio aspect of my business 😊 If you have any tips, tricks, or words of encouragement, I’d love to hear from all of you! And if you’re a past bride wondering why I never posted your picture? It’s probably 95% because I didn’t feel like I could make a good enough post for your big day. 🤍

Hair tinsel isn’t just for kids or festivals anymore. It can be as subtle or as bold as you want—adding just the right amount of shimmer while blending beautifully with your natural hair. I’m envisioning wedding parties, receptions, bachelorette parties, and more! Not looking for bridal services but still interested in tinsel? I’ve got you, girl! ☺️

12 years ago today, I married my favorite person. 🤍

Twelve years, four kids, countless memories, and more laughter than I could have imagined when we said “I do.”

Our wedding day I did my own hair as well as a few of my bridesmaids! I learned then, brides need to be reminded to sit and enjoy the getting ready process! Not always easy when you’re doing it yourself. I did mine in 20 minutes right before pictures because I almost forgot!

Every wedding morning is about so much more than hair. It’s about the anticipation, the happy tears, the quiet moments with the people you love most, and the beginning of a marriage that continues long after the wedding day is over.

Twelve years later, I can tell you that the beauty of a wedding day is only the first chapter. The real magic is found in the ordinary days that follow—the ones spent building a life together.

Being a part of those first moments for my brides is something I’ll never take for granted.
