Razor Sharp Sharpening Service

I’ve been having some vehicle problems the last few days. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to get to all of my appointments. I’ll be driving the broken van to Des Moines, tomorrow. I’ll be getting the parts to repair it, and do that there. Doesn’t take long to repair, that’s where the parts are. Thank for everyone’s patience while I get this up and running. Hopefully be back up to full speed tomorrow, and playing catch up.

I just got back from the National Sharpeners Guild convention in Kansas City. The convention was a success! There was great training, testing and camaraderie! I was named the vice chairman of the board of directors. Saw a lot of old friends, and made some new ones, as well.

I’ll be getting back on the road tomorrow, probably will stay pretty close to home tomorrow, until I get my schedule sorted out.

Between Wednesday September 3, and Monday September 8th. Sean and I will be at the National Sharpeners Guild convention, in Kansas City, rubbing elbows with the other sharpeners. Except this year, I am fortunate enough to be invited on as a speaker and judge at the event! I’ll be teaching a handful of classes, as well as helping evaluate the certification attempt for the upcoming, and established beauty and grooming shear sharpening masters. I’m honored.

Due to this, between September 3-8, we can only accept drop off orders to be completed upon our return. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

I forgot to post, or notify…my annual fishing trip is coming up…I’ll be gone the 14th of June, through the 21st.

While I’m away, Sean will be available to complete clipper blades. Shears and other orders will be fulfilled no later than 14 days after they are received.

Found a new way to store medical tape, well…maybe not new. I’ve got six new stitches stored underneath it. It’s starting to really pound now.

It’s pretty sharp…only a touch up on a 2000 grit sharpton pro ceramic. No strop, other than touching off on the stone. I love to cook. Don’t get to very often anymore!

I’ve got some exciting news…

My son recently graduated from Iowa state university with a degree in industrial technology., I have a hard time explaining what that is…but he’s an engineer. Pretty cool, right?

So, there’s been an influx of engineers in the market. So I hired him. We’re gearing up to start taking mail in orders on a large scale, for scissors and clippers, both small animal, and large animal.

Our goal is to have the garage of our home converted to a shop by Thanksgiving time. We’ll also hopefully have a line of scissors, and clipper blades available around that time, as well.

I’m pretty excited about our growth. Really excited about having my son working with me, as well. (Probably more than anything). His attention to detail is extraordinary, and really tech savvy, as well.

Pretty exciting times, and getting hard to contain this any longer.
