I’ve been doing Taylor’s hair for almost 8 years! Swipe to see where we started back in 2013 when I first taught myself to balayage [ also get a good laugh at the camera quality and picture taking skills 😆 ] Taylor had found my work somewhere on pinterest and traveled over an hour to see me - which was a very big deal to me, as a newer stylist. I remember being so proud of myself that someone wanted to drive that far to sit in MY chair. I think back when I took that picture and thought “damn girl! You did good”. Now today, I look at these photos side by side, and I am proud again of how far I’ve come and progressed in my craft. There is always room for growth ✌🏼

☼ SUMMER HAIR CARE TIPS ☼
Over the years of being a stylist I cannot tell you how many times I have heard “my hair always lightens in the summer” or “I get natural highlights from the sun”. [🥴] What most clients do not realize is... that is NOT a good thing sis!!! We all know the sun’s UVA/UVB rays do irreparable damage to our skin, and if you’re smart, you protect it with sunscreen, right?? Why not do the same thing for your hair!? Prolonged exposure to the sun can cause damage to the cuticle by discoloration (those “natural” highlights), dry & frizzy strands, and even thinning [😧]. Take steps to keep your hair healthy & protected by:
- Wearing a hat if in direct sunlight
- Using products with UV protection
- Using a deep conditioning mask once a week during the summer to keep your cuticle moisturized
- Washing with a clarifying shampoo after swimming
- Hydrating your ends with a moisturizing leave in and oil
- Air dry that mane!

MONEY 💰 for my brunette HUNNY
Who says you cant have a poppin’ money piece and still have an easy grow out as a deep brunette? This mama-to-be wanted something low maintenance but still wanted to have a brightened faceframe on her long locks. Starting the paint near eye level opens up the face, but allows her to throw her hair up and not see a blonde streak!
