Business on top. Bad decisions underneath. 🌈

She had a family trip + concert coming up and needed a little more chaos in her life—but also has one of those pesky jobs where a full head of rainbow might raise an eyebrow or two.

So we got strategic.

We created a hidden rainbow placement underneath her natural hair that she can show off when she wants to, and cover up when she needs to.

And THIS is why the consultation matters.

It’s not just, ā€œWhat color do you want?ā€

It’s: How do you wear your hair? What does your job allow? How much upkeep are you willing to do? How bold do you actually want to be?

Because I’m always down to do some wild sh*t—but it still has to work for you.

Your hair should fit your life. Not the other way around.

Well, this doesn’t happen often… šŸ‘€

I have a couple of openings available this Friday at Hair by Becky | Shop by the Bridge.

If you’ve been needing a cut, color refresh, gloss, or a little summer hair reset, now’s your chance to sneak in without waiting weeks for an appointment.

You can view the available times and book directly through my online booking site.

And a reminder: if the time you need isn’t available, join my online waitlist! It’s genuinely the best way to grab an appointment when I have a cancellation or something opens up unexpectedly. Choose the services, days, and times that work for you—and I will notify you when there’s a match.

šŸ Fall is creeping in… šŸ‘»

I know it still feels like summer, but my appointment book says otherwise.

Between last-minute summer hair, back-to-school appointments, and all of you amazing humans who love to pre-book, I’m down to just a few openings before September.

If those disappear before you’re ready to book, don’t panic—and please don’t feel like you have to text asking if I can squeeze you in. šŸ–¤

✨ Instead, join my Square Waitlist.

It’s honestly the best way to snag an appointment. When I have a cancellation or I’m able to open extra time, the waitlist is the first place I look. It helps me fill openings quickly and gives everyone a fair chance without anyone having to keep checking in.

šŸ‚ September & October books still have some availability, so if you’re thinking about:

āœ‚ļø A fresh haircut or beard cleanup
šŸ’ˆ Your regular barber cut or fade
šŸ¤Ž Rich fall color
šŸ”„ Warm coppers & autumn reds & lived-in brunettes
✨ Blonde maintenance or seasonal refresh
šŸ‘» Or just keeping your routine on track…

…keep an eye on online booking and grab a spot while fall appointments are available.

Whether you’re coming in for a quick clean-up, your every-4-week fade, a lived-in color, or a complete transformation, planning ahead helps make sure you get the appointment that works best for you.

Thank you for keeping this little studio so full of life. Every appointment, every conversation, every recommendation means more to me than you know.

See you in the chair. šŸ–¤

šŸ¦ŠšŸ‚ Calico, but make it wearable.

Starting with her natural brunette, I created pops of lightness throughout the hair before layering custom copper-red ribbons, soft golden highlights, and a couple of bold statement panels. The result is dimensional color that shifts with every movement—warm, edgy, and completely one of a kind.

Because hair should be as unique as the person wearing it.

The studio will be quiet April 9–15.

I’m currently fully booked, with next availability opening mid May.
If you’re thinking about getting on my books, I recommend securing your spot ahead of time.

Thank you for keeping my chair full — it means more than you know.

Online booking is always available.

There are hair appointments…
and then there’s how your hair lives after you leave the chair.

One thing I focus on with every client is creating hair that still looks good weeks later — not just the day of your appointment.

Because the goal isn’t just a good hair day…
it’s good hair between visits.

✨ My books are currently scheduling into May, so if you’ve been thinking about a refresh, now is a good time to grab a spot.

Saturdays at the Studio.

Clippers buzzing.
Scissors moving.
Good conversation in the chair.

There’s a rhythm to a barbershop that I’ve always loved — the small details, the craft, and the little rituals that turn a haircut into something more than just maintenance.

Grateful for everyone who comes through this little studio by the bridge and trusts me with their hair.

✨ If you’ve been thinking about a spring refresh, my books are currently scheduling into May.

The shop always knows before the weather does.

The light changes.
The messages really start coming in.
The phone rings a little more often.
And suddenly the calendar starts stretching out.

Spring isn’t quite here yet… but the season has already started in the chair. My books are now filling into May.

If you’ve been thinking about coming in, this is your friendly heads-up that the rhythm of the shop changes this time of year. The clients who stay on a maintenance schedule are the ones who have a spot waiting for them.

And speaking of maintenance…

With the new website and service menu, I finally organized something I’ve been quietly building for a while — The Rituals šŸ¤

These are a little different than a regular appointment.

A haircut or color changes how your hair looks.
A Ritual changes how your hair and scalp behave.

Most of the things people think they need a bigger service for — dull color, dryness, hair not styling the same, itchy scalp, ends feeling rough, beard hair getting brittle — are usually signs that the hair needs to be reset or replenished first.

Especially this time of year.

Midwest winters leave their mark.
Dry indoor heat.
Hard water.
Hats, hoodies, and static.
All of it builds up quietly over a few months.

That’s where the Rituals come in.

🌿 The Reset
Clears hard water minerals, buildup, and residue so your hair can actually absorb moisture and color again.

šŸ’§ Moisture & Bond Repair Ritual
Rebuilds strength inside the strand for hair that’s been lightened, heat styled, or just feeling fragile.

ā™Øļø Elevated Relaxation – Scalp Steam Ritual
Warm steam and slow scalp work to soften buildup, improve circulation, and help treatments pe*****te where they’re supposed to.

šŸ–¤ The Elixir Oil Ritual
Hot towels and nourishing oils to calm dry scalp, soften ends (and beards), and seal in shine.

They’re not spa fluff.
They’re maintenance — the kind that keeps hair healthy between color services, keeps cuts sitting right longer, and keeps your scalp happy through the seasonal shift.

It’s a little old barbershop tradition mixed with modern hair care… and maybe a touch of intuition.

I pay attention to what your hair has been through, not just what you want it to look like.

So if spring has you thinking about lighter color, a fresh cut, or just getting your hair back into shape after winter — now is a good time to start planning.

The chair is ready.

I’m incredibly grateful.

Hair by Becky was named Best Hairstylist, Best Barber, and Best Hair Salon in the 2025 Best of Watertown Readers Choice Awards.

This means more to me than I can put into words — not because of the titles, but because it came from the people who sit in my chair and trust me with their time, their stories, and their hair.

Thank you to every client who voted, supported, referred, and believed in the intentional way I do things.

This work is personal. This space is built on care. And I’m deeply honored to do it here, in this community.
