CALIFORNIA BARBER TURNS HIS SHOP INTO A BIBLE STUDY. TEACHING MEN SCRIPTURE BEFORE THE WORKDAY BEGINS

California barber Mark Gonzalez is using his barbershop for more than cutting hair—he has created a space where men can gather to pray, study Scripture, worship and encourage one another in their faith.

Gonzalez, whose shop is in Redlands, has openly expressed his belief that the business ultimately belongs to Jesus Christ.

His mission is deeply connected to his own testimony. Gonzalez says he previously struggled with addiction, incarceration and a destructive lifestyle before experiencing a transformation through his faith in Jesus.

Now, he is using the same workplace where he earns a living as an opportunity to minister to others.

His story carries a simple reminder: ministry does not have to be confined to a church building. Your workplace can also become a place where people encounter Christ.

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.” — Colossians 3:23

May more believers see wherever God has placed them as an opportunity to serve, encourage others and represent Jesus.
