We’re getting close & I’m so excited to get back to doing what we do!!! Dane County just announced that we can open under Phase 1 on 5/26!! Woo Hoo!!

It’s been so long and I miss you all so much! I hope this finds you healthy & happy & safe.
I’ve gone back to the first cancelled appointment on 3/17 & am rebooking in order of cancellation. I couldn’t think of a more fair way to go about this. First Cancelled = First Booked. As you know I like to book out about 4 months in advance so all currently scheduled future appointments you may have had, will be obsolete going forward. We’ll start with a clean slate.

When I reach out to book you please let me know your current level of need. On a scale of 1-5 with 1=Desperate and 5=I can wait a bit. I currently have the weeks of 5/26 & 6/1 booked and now that I know we can open 5/26, I’ll be working hard to continue getting people rescheduled. Please be patient with me as I have about 200 appointments to reschedule. So far, people are all over this scale & I am taking all of this into consideration when rebooking appointments. I am taking good care of myself so as soon as we open our doors, you know I will work my butt off getting everyone caught up.

We are in unprecedented times & for the foreseeable future, the salon experience will not be the one that you are accustomed to. This saddens me as I love to be the place where you can leave your cares at the door, I can give you a longer- than- usual head massage when you’re having a bad day, & we have the ability to have lengthy, in-depth conversations & solve the worries of the world. Hopefully these changes will be temporary & we’ll be back to business as usual in the near future. In the meantime, we will be operating under a different set of rules and heightened safety protocols and I want to let you know of changes to expect when coming in for your appointment.

Safety & sanitation has always been huge in WI, and now of course, even more so. We will be operating under guidelines/mandates from WEDC, CDC, DHS, Dane County, OSHA, AIHA & business insurance. We are doing everything in our power to provide a safe environment for all. My goal is to have you feel safer in the salon than you do at Costco! We will not be making exceptions on any of the following items:

Only one client will be permitted with one stylist at a time. If coming together as a family, all other people will need to wait in the car or outside, until it’s their turn.
You will wait in your car until I text you, call you or come get you.
Consider leaving extra items in your car like your purse or coat.
I will still be accepting checks or cards, but no cash for now.
We will expect you to wash your hands when you come in the building & use hand sanitizer that we will provide.
We have removed all magazines & will not be providing beverages.
I will have dedicated hours if you are at increased risk, are elderly or immunocompromised.
15 min extra will be allowed between clients to properly disinfect all areas.
We are requiring the wearing of masks. If you don’t have your own or don’t want to get color on your cute cotton one, we will have disposable masks available for purchase @ $4. The only exception to this is if you have a disability that prevents you from breathing with a mask on as noted under the ADA. If you have a disability of this nature, talk to me & I will try to accommodate during dedicated hours.
We are not allowed to shampoo unless receiving a color service.
We are not allowed to use blow dryers. If you receive a color service, I will shampoo and then cut but you will leave wet-ish.
We are limited in the amount of time we can spend together so I’ll be reaching out individually before your appt in order to have a plan ahead of time.
It goes without saying (but I’m going to say it anyhow) IF YOU ARE SICK, OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO COVID19, STAY HOME!
I will have you sign a waiver prior to your appointment.
I know a lot of salons are increasing their prices right now to cover additional expenses that we are encountering. I am not increasing my prices at this time as I know a lot of you have also been negatively impacted financially. If it’s time for your appointment but you feel you can’t afford it, let me know. I won’t have anyone missing their service due to lack of funds! We’ll figure it out.

I realize that some of these changes may not be ideal, but honestly I’m so excited to be back with you that I’m rolling with the flow. With that being said, this is not a time for judgement and if you feel unsafe, or you disagree with any of the changes we have made, it’s ok. I will happily wait to book you until things have settled down and you’re ready to come back in.
