Today marks one year since I lost my dad to Mantle Cell Lymphoma. 🤍

My dad was my best friend, and I was very much a daddy’s girl. While today is incredibly personal, I wanted to share this part of my story because my dad was also a very special part of the story behind Mikaela Leigh Esthetics.

He supported me from the very beginning — even before MLE officially existed. While I was in beauty school, he would get facials from me, let me practice services on him, listen to me talk endlessly about my ideas, and always give me his honest opinion when I asked for it.

As I built Mikaela Leigh Esthetics over the past almost six years, he continued to support me in so many ways. Whether it was helping me put things up around the spa, helping with projects, encouraging my ideas, or simply being there to remind me that he believed in me — he was always part of it.

He may have never officially worked at Mikaela Leigh Esthetics, but he was absolutely a part of it behind the scenes.

I will forever be grateful that I had a dad who supported not only me, but the dreams I had for myself. So much of what I’ve built carries a little piece of him with it, and I know that will always be true.

Although this past year has been filled with so much heartache, I’m choosing to honor my dad by continuing to grow, dream, and build the life and business he always encouraged me to pursue. His love and support will forever be a part of who I am and everything I do. 🤍
