Recently I read about the importance of human touch, and suddenly, it all made sense. 🤯🙌🏻

After losing my mom and everything that followed, this crazy journey somehow led me here—to this little room at Studio CS—and I’ve said so many times that I finally feel like I’ve found my purpose.

But now I understand a little more of why.

Sometimes we underestimate how long someone can go without simply being cared for. I, understand this all too well as it’s me 💯.

Maybe you live alone.
Maybe you’re always taking care of everyone else.
Maybe you’re going through something nobody knows about.
Maybe you’re grieving.
Maybe life has just been… a lot.

And then you come into my little room.

For the next hour, you don’t have to do anything for anybody.

You get to close your eyes.
You get your hair washed.
Your scalp massaged.
The tension worked out of your head and shoulders.

You get to simply receive care.

And THAT is what made everything click for me.

My purpose isn’t just that I get to provide Head Spas or hair-care services. I get to provide that human touch, comfort, connection and care that someone may need more than I’ll ever know. 🥹

And one of the most beautiful parts is that while I’m providing that care for someone else, it’s healing for me too! 🥰

Grief changed so much of me and what I thought my life would look like. But somehow, using my hands to make another person feel relaxed, comforted and cared for has given me somewhere to pour all of the love and care that is still inside of me. ❤️‍🩹

I can’t fix what someone is carrying when they walk through my door.

But I can give them a safe, quiet hour where someone takes care of them.

Sometimes we talk.
Sometimes we laugh.
Sometimes they fall asleep.
Sometimes they just need silence.

All of it is okay.

I knew in my heart that I had found something I was meant to do.

Now it all makes sense why.

I get the privilege of creating a space where someone can walk in carrying whatever life has handed them, and for a little while, simply feel cared for. I still can never express enough gratitude and appreciation I have for this opportunity!! 🥹💗

Have you ever noticed how much tension you hold in your scalp, neck & shoulders without even realizing it?

Stress doesn’t always just live in our minds. Sometimes we’re walking around with our shoulders practically touching our ears, a tight scalp, clenched jaw, or that feeling like we just cannot fully relax.
