Whole-person care doesn’t mean testing everything or changing everything at once. I look at your history, symptoms, scalp findings and available data to figure out which clues matter most.
Sometimes we start with a few simple changes. Sometimes we need to look deeper first.
The goal isn’t to do everything. It’s to make meaningful changes you can actually sustain.

This is why I do what I do. ❤️
After 5+ years of struggling with her scalp and trying so many different products, she finally felt heard and started getting answers.
I’m so grateful she trusted me to look deeper and help her understand what was really going on.
If you’ve been struggling with your scalp and feel like you’ve tried everything, maybe it’s time to take a closer look. I’d love to help you get to the root.

One of my 27-year-old male clients came to me with thinning hair and ongoing digestive issues.
Before we even started scalp treatments, we spent about two months supporting his gut health, making some nutrition changes, adding probiotics and digestive enzymes, and working on stress.
When he came back, we took updated photos and were both surprised to see new hairs already coming in.
This is why I don’t look at hair loss as just a scalp problem. Sometimes the hair starts responding when we start supporting what’s happening underneath, too.
Now we’re building on that progress with targeted scalp treatments.
If you’re experiencing thinning or shedding and feel like there has to be more to the story, let’s take a look at the root. Book your Hair Recovery Plan today!

There are a few things I would never do to my scalp, especially when I’m trying to support healthy hair growth.
Your scalp is skin, and it deserves the same attention and care you give the rest of your body.
Sometimes the signs are subtle, but your scalp is always giving you information. We just have to pay attention.
Ever notice more shedding and think, “But I’m not even that stressed right now?”
There’s a reason for that.
Stress can affect the hair growth cycle, and the shedding can show up weeks or even months after the stressful period. So sometimes what you’re seeing in your shower today is connected to what your body was dealing with months ago.
This is why I don’t like looking at hair loss as just a hair problem. Your hair can give us clues about what’s happening underneath the surface.
If you’re noticing more shedding than usual, it may be time to look at the bigger picture and get to the root.

A little sneak peek of the progress!
If you’ve been following along, you know Rooted Awakenings has been going through a pretty big transformation. And honestly, it feels like the space is becoming a reflection of how much the business has evolved too.
I’ve gotten much clearer about the kind of space and experience I want to create for my clients, especially those navigating hair loss.
We’re getting SO close! A few finishing touches are still happening behind the scenes.
Next up… Phase 3: lighting!
I can’t wait to show you the finished space!
If you’ve been sleeping terribly lately, your hair may be feeling it too.
Sleep is when your body gets a chance to repair, regulate and do a lot of the behind the scenes work we don’t always think about. When poor sleep becomes the norm, it can add stress to an already stressed system, and your hair follicles can be affected.
I’m not saying one bad night of sleep is going to make your hair fall out. Life happens. But if you’re consistently running on empty, it’s worth paying attention to.
Your hair is often giving you information about what’s happening inside your body.
So if your sleep has been off and you’re noticing more shedding, thinning or changes in your hair, don’t just look at the hair. Look at the whole picture. ❤️
Most people only look at their scalp when something feels wrong. Itching, flakes, oiliness, shedding, thinning... and even then, it can be hard to know what you're actually looking at.
When I take a close look at your scalp, I’m looking for clues. Buildup, irritation, inflammation, changes around the follicles and the overall condition of the scalp environment.
And honestly, sometimes what I see gives us a whole new direction.
It’s not about looking at your scalp and instantly having every answer. It’s about gathering information so we can stop guessing and start paying attention to what your scalp is actually telling us.
Your scalp has a story. Let's learn how to read it.

What does a healthy scalp actually look like?
For me, it’s not about having a “perfect” scalp. It’s about a scalp that feels comfortable, balanced, and supported.
If you’re constantly dealing with itching, flaking, oiliness, sensitivity, or buildup, your scalp may be trying to tell you something.
I always remind my clients that we can’t expect healthy hair growth if we’re ignoring the environment it’s growing from. Your scalp is the soil, and healthy hair starts there. 🌱
So, how is your scalp feeling lately?

It seems harmless, but this could be one of the things slowly contributing to thinner hair.
Sometimes it’s the habits we don’t think twice about: wearing your hair pulled back all the time, relying on dry shampoo, skipping wash days, or constantly putting stress on your scalp.
Your hair is paying attention to what you do every day, not just what you do when you’re trying to fix the problem.
If your hair has been getting thinner, it’s worth looking at the everyday things that might be working against you.
Small changes can make a bigger difference than you think.
