I know you read this in high school, but as it is one of the banned books, I see its value and lesson all the more important. The value of education, the keeping of history, to see the rise of authoritarianism power before your very eyes… let’s just say we’re starting our own Library.
I’m a practical gal through and through. The straight forward wisdom weaved throughout this book of the Bible has always had a place in my heart and now the way I view myself, the way I want to raise my son, and how the Lord works in all of those mundane times.
I want my son to experience all the mud covered whimsy of boyhood. I want him to fight dragons, play cars, save the princess (only if she needs saving okaaay 💅🏻) but I want him to know God. I want him to see the biblical narrative, the story of good and evil, in ways he can understand. These books (and ok the movies) helped me grasp things from a young age and I hope to do that for him.
Listen, to parents like myself, we should really step up our privacy game if we want to be taken seriously. 🤓
These are not stickers that can be digitally removed (which it is crazy people go that far as it is); what are your thoughts on our digital (over)sharing generation?
I’ve said it before, we couldn’t do this without a team, and even with all that help…some days I still feel like I’m barely keeping up. Evan jumps in wherever the business needs him. My assistant is elbow-deep in a new clean liquid soap formula (look out for that one 👀). My sister makes sure I’m caffeinated enough to function. My parents and in-laws take Ezra so I can actually get things done. And honestly? Thank God for that, because building this took years; years of showing up, creating buzz in my community and now beyond it, one small step at a time. If you’re a mama running something of your own right now, hear me: it doesn’t have to look easy to be working. It’s one day at a time, even for the people who look like they’ve got it figured out. You’ve got this.

Before Ezra got here, I swore I’d have this whole nursery set up like a Pinterest board with everything hung, color-coded, folded within an inch of its life. Reality? Baby E wears whatever gets shoved in a drawer that morning. Meticulously hanging tiny clothes? With what time??
These are the five things that actually made the cut once real life kicked in: not the cute stuff, but the stuff that still gets used.

Being a Mom has been the best thing, the thing we prayed for! Sometimes however, Mama needs time to herself.
Thank God for our parents, friends, and village who help as much as they can. 🫶🏻
