Clove bud oil is so refreshing just as a sensory experience alone! At The Herbs and Bees, we use clove bud oil in our products. Often used in ancient history, particularly by the Greeks and Romans, it was also found in the history of Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine; at those times, it was used to relieve toothaches and to fight bad breath. In line with its ancient purposes, clove bud oil has since been approved for use as a dental anesthetic mouthwash and gargle, as well as a way to fight infections in the mouth and throat. The oil is popular for being antimicrobial, anti-fungal, antiviral, and antiseptic.

Who knew - cacao and dental health??? The Herbs and Bees loves to educate consumers on the ingredients in our products. Dark chocolate is made from at least 70% cacao, and is commonly known as a superfood. It has many beneficial purposes, but it is especially great for promoting good dental health, thanks to a compound called CBH which can help harden the enamel of your teeth and prevent cavities. Theobromine, which can be found in dark chocolate, is perfect for hardening tooth enamel and is much more effective than even fluoride.

Borage oil is a natural source of the fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which comes from plant oils and has strong anti-inflammatory properties. It is best used in treating inflammatory skin disorders, such as eczema or psoriasis, and it can also be used to treat skin disorders that may be caused by fatty acid imbalances. Borage is also great for moisturizing and promoting anti-aging.
