Whether you need an affirming primary care check-up, want to learn more about PrEP, or need a HRT refill, Augusta Health clinicians will be available at our Community Health Clinic. No insurance needed. Walk-Ins available.

As a reminder, our community space is open for drop-in hours as well during clinic! Browse our clothes closet, q***r resource library, or grab some snacks from our kitchen.

05/15 is the LAST day to fill out the Virginia Young Adult Survey!! Hoping to get just a couple more people to sign up!

The YAS is a statewide survey of young adults ages 18-25 developed by DBHDS and their evaluation partner, Omni Institute, a nonprofit organization working with Community Services Boards (CSBs) and coalitions.
· The purpose of the YAS is to better understand young adults’ experiences with substance use, mental health, gambling, and other related topics to help us provide targeted prevention services across Virginia.
· The survey asks about young adults’ opinions and experiences regarding substance use, mental health topics, and gambling behavior.
· Past surveys were conducted in 2022 and 2024, and results are available at www.vasis.org/yas.

Today I went over to Valley Cards 1 year anniversary! The first 40 customers got a goodie bag!
I came late so I didn’t get a bag but I just was excited to see the turnout, which was great!! There were so many people in that small little store. I didn’t stick around because it got a bit overwhelming but I love seeing community come together! I started going to this shop around a month ago when I started playing Magic 🙂 It’s super cute; normally very roomy haha, and just a really nice atmosphere!

Nothing is better than seeing people ages 6-60 giggling, smiling, opening their cards, seeing their pulls, and trading cards.
Game stores are a cornerstone in the foundation of community third spaces. A safe space for so many people. Somewhere not work or home/school where you can gather, find likeminded souls, and build friendships forever.

Food for thought:

You can still want what’s best for addicts while hating the one who hurt you. It’s okay.

Wanting help for the overall community for the person you couldn’t help, but maybe someone else could. That’s okay.

Maybe you’re the someone else for my situation, maybe I’m the someone else for yours.

You can help addicts without helping the one who hurt you. That’s okay.

Take care of yourself first before others and if taking care of others hurts yourself, then it’s not for you but you tried.
