Today has been bitter sweet as we rang our last client out here at Beyond The Shear. I am so sad this chapter has come to an end. However I am looking very forward to starting my new job at Lena's Salon on Sept 3rd. Rose and Barbara are looking forward to starting their well deserved retirement. I will forever be grateful having my mom and Barbara by my side through these crazy years. We have laughed so hard at times, yet had each other to cry on a shoulder through some great tragedies we have all faced at other times. I want to thank all of our customers through the years as well, without you we would not have made it as long as we did. We wish you all a great weekend. 🥺🥰

With over two decades of experience as a licensed cosmetologist and a salon owner, I have cultivated a deep understanding of hairstyling techniques and have had the privilege of experimenting with various methods. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities, ranging from color and perming to cutting and styling. As a mother of two grown daughters, I cherish the time I spend with my family. My clients are valued as friends, and I enjoy spending quality time with my husband of 27 years. We share a passion for motorcycle riding and camping, which brings us immense joy. I am honored to be employed at Lena’s salon, where I am dedicated to assisting my clients in enhancing their self-esteem and overall well-being. I firmly believe that life should be filled with contentment and purpose.

Good Morning , I have accepted a job at Lena's hair salon. As sad as I am that I'm closing my salon, I am excited to go work with Lena and her team. I think all of my clients who decide to follow me will be comfortable and like it there as well. The last day Beyond The Shear will be open is Friday August 22nd. My 1st day at Lena's will be September 3rd. Just a heads up my appointments are getting filled for the end of August and I have already started filling spots in September. There has been some confusion as to what is actually going on with the salon. So I thought I'd post again for anyone who only saw 1 of my post or may be confused about the actual details. Yes we unfortunately are closing Beyond The Shear, our anticipated date has changed to Aug 22nd 2025. I will continue doing hair here in Waynesboro working for someone else. I have made a decision on where I'm going and here soon I will be announcing where. I just need to finalize some details first. I'm so fortunate for the years I was able to have my own salon but it's time I need to move on. I hope most of my clients will follow me.l, i appreciate you all😊 Although I am saddened it has to happen so quickly I am finally able to get excited about my and my families future. Thank you to each and everyone of you for sharing your love and support. It means so much to us. I am starting my search for where I will be continuing to do hair after we close. Goodness even typing that seems so surreal. It's a very scary but exciting experience. I will continue to keep you all updated as things progress as we get closer to our close date. To all of our current and past clients, we want to thank you so much for your patronage over the past 10 years. It's because of you that we made it this far. We even made it through some pretty tough times and for that we are forever grateful. Unfortunately the tough times have continued to get worse to the point we needed to make this very difficult decision. It is with a heavy heart we need to announce we will be closing Beyond The Shear. We have exhausted all options and unfortunately we have run out of any ideas. People always said family couldn't or shouldn't work together. Well it has definitely been crazy at times , but at least we can say we made it over 10 years and I personally think that's awesome. For those of you who have stuck it out with us through all the craziness we appreciate you all so very much. Please bear with us as we navigate these difficult times as we have never closed a business and we're learning as we go. We will keep you all updated as much as possible. Mom aka Mama Rose and Barbara have decided to go into full retirement. I will continue to do hair, however I am not sure yet where that will be. The anticipated date of closure will be August 29th. Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts.🥲

Good morning , well this morning has been a rough one. In the last 24 hrs our salon has had 4 cancelations all were scheduled to be done today. I do understand things happen however not good for us.
