Fire on the Mountain Candle Company

Closing a little early today to go to a special event!

Come see us before 4 today, or 10am-6pm the rest of the week!

Apparently speaking up for local businesses gets you cancelled by the Haywood Chamber of Commerce.

Extremely disappointed in what is supposed to be an organization that supports local businesses. I sent this email expressing concern that local Waynesville businesses should get priority placement in what is supposed to be a Waynesville festival to Haywood Chamber of Commerce, and was immediately removed from the festival without being contacted and told how mean and nasty I am. I was also told that they do not care who is local because they get their money either way. Wow. I will definitely no longer be supporting anything by this so called organization.

UPDATE: the refund they told me I was getting for my booth space was pending in my account yesterday, and has now completely disappeared! Fingers crossed it shows back up!

Hours this week, Come out and see us!

We are so excited for October and all things fall🍂
We have lots of exciting events coming up this month, so be on the lookout for a post soon!

Well, we were hoping to open for regular hours today, but that just doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

We are hoping to open for at least a few hours today, but I’m honestly not sure when we will get there.

Thank you so much for your understanding and support. We will keep you posted!

My daughter has been sick for a few days, but it looks like we’re on the uphill side! Out of an abundance of caution we’re staying home today and closing the store. Don’t worry we’ll be back tomorrow regular hours so you have a chance to make a candle or shop for fall scents before we close for vacation. It’s just me behind this business so I truly appreciate all your understanding and support! See you soon! ❤️Amelia

We had so much fun at Fall Candle Making last night! Thanks for coming out ladies! We hope to see you all at our Halloween class 🎃🔥

Hours this week! Don’t forget to sign up for our Fall Candle Class this week on Wednesday from 6-8pm!

After this week we will be closed for a full week for Family Vacation and re-open for normal hours starting Tuesday 9/29.

We hope to see you soon!

Alongside the original Boarding House Marketplace Signature scent of Balsam Fir, Black Amber, and Lavender — these three fragrances bring the feeling of Balsam Mountain Preserve home.

The full collection is available now at Boarding House Marketplace in 3 oz, 10 oz, and 16 oz Wood Wick Candles, along with Room Sprays and Wax Melts.

Stop in, find your favorite, and take a little piece of the Preserve home with you. 🏔️🕯️
