A single human hair is stronger than you might think—it can support about 100 grams (3.5 ounces) of weight before breaking. In theory, a full head of healthy hair could support the weight of several elephants if all the hairs shared the load evenly (though your scalp definitely wouldn’t appreciate the experiment!).
