Guards or no guards, who cares? You should, that’s who! Ask for a “number 2” and you may get something different with each stylist and each different clipper, blade or guard they use. A guard makes it difficult to factor in your head shape, lumps, indents, hair density/color variations, etc. These are things you can’t hide in a men’s cut. Ask your stylist or barber if she is skilled at clipper over comb and scissor cuts. Make sure you receive an in depth consultation.
