Salon Receptionist Position

Position Schedule: Part Time

Hiring Minimum: $12/hr.

Salon Receptionist responsibilities include:

o Warmly welcoming clients, escorting them to the appropriate beauty station, and notifying assigned beauticians of their arrival.
o Booking and verifying appointments by phone.
o Processing transactions (cash and credit cards) and issuing receipts.

Job brief

We are seeking a Salon Receptionist to be the first point of contact for customers visiting our salon or reaching out to learn about our beauty services. The responsibilities of the Salon Receptionist include greeting customers as they arrive, answering questions about services via phone, Facebook, or in person, and processing transactions. To succeed in this role, you should be highly organized and capable of managing clients with grace, even during peak demand. Ultimately, you will help enhance our reputation by developing friendly, trustworthy relationships with customers.
Responsibilities

o Warmly greet clients, walk them to the proper station, and inform the assigned nail technician of their arrival.
o Book and confirm appointments via phone and in person.
o Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue receipts.
o Offer beverages and chat with clients who are in the waiting area.
o Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services, and schedule appointments based on availability.
o Inform clients about new services and discounts.
o Update client records with contact information, appointments, and services offered.
o Maintain a tidy reception area.
o Update a list of supplies that need to be restocked.
o Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements and skills

o Proven work experience as a Salon Receptionist, Front Desk Representative, or in a similar role
o Hands-on experience with office equipment, such as printers and POS systems
o Familiarity with processing transactions
o Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone) with a customer service attitude
o Solid organizational and record-keeping skills
o Ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances

Minimum Requirements
o Be prepared to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
