If you are an existing client, I recommend getting your appointments reserved now for the remainder of the year so you have the dates and times that work best for you.

If you are a new client, please keep in mind that last-minute appointments are usually not available unless there is a cancellation. Most new appointments are scheduled several weeks in advance.

This policy applies to everyone, without exception. It helps keep the schedule running smoothly and allows appointments to be offered to clients on the waiting list.

So the next time you call a small, locally owned salon and complain that a haircut is “too expensive,” remember this:

Independent stylists pay for their own products, tools, education, insurance, taxes, rent, utilities, and continuing training. Most of us don’t get paid vacations, health insurance, retirement plans, or corporate benefits. We wear every hat in our business and absorb every increase in supply costs.

If you’d rather support a corporation charging similar prices while the profits go to shareholders, that’s your choice. But please don’t call a mom-and-pop salon expecting luxury service at discount-chain prices.

Support local. Support small business. Support the people who pour their hearts, time, and livelihoods into serving their communities. ❤️✂️
