Lately 🖤🌿

Let’s Talk Psoriasis 💆🏻‍♀️

Scalp psoriasis is something I see more often than people realize in the salon.

Many clients come in thinking they just have a little “dandruff,” when in reality their scalp is dealing with inflammation, barrier disruption, and internal triggers that are showing up on the skin.

Your scalp is part of your skin—and it often reflects what’s happening inside the body.

The good news: when you start to understand your triggers, support your body internally, and protect the scalp’s natural barrier, things can start to shift.

This is why I always take a holistic approach with my scalp treatments—looking at the scalp environment, lifestyle factors, and ways we can support your body as a whole.

If you’ve been struggling with flakes, itching, or persistent scalp irritation, you’re not alone. And there are ways to support your scalp back to balance!🌿✨

February dump 💘☕️🌷💛

You wouldn’t skip your skincare… so why skip your scalp care?

Your scalp actually ages faster than the skin on your face — in some cases up to 6x faster.

It’s living tissue with higher metabolic activity, constant oxidative stress, UV exposure (yes, even through your hair), buildup, inflammation, and hormonal sensitivity happening every single day.

And unlike your face… most people aren’t protecting or exfoliating it consistently.

Over time, this shows up as:
• thinning
• slower growth
• oil imbalance
• shedding
• sensitivity
• changes in texture

Left unaddressed, this is often where noticeable changes in your hair begin.
And sometimes — it can be a signal of something deeper internally.

Healthy hair doesn’t start at the ends.
It starts at the root.

Start with mindful products.
Add a consistent scalp treatment.
Treat it like the skin it is.

That’s when you begin to see real change 🌿

A quick update🤍

At this time, I’m no longer taking on new color clients as I move away from color services. I will continue to honor all my frequently scheduled color clients, but I’m no longer able to take on new color projects moving forward.

However, I now have talented stylists in the salon who I’m happy to refer you to!💗

SCALP TREATMENTS:
I’m able to accommodate requested couples treatments when booked in advance.

New clients interested in scalp treatments are encouraged to book with Melanie, who offers the same attentive care and experience. I will reopen limited availability for new clients as we move into summer!

HAIR LOSS:
I’ll be welcoming new hair loss clients starting in April and i am currently developing new offerings and packages.

If you’d like to be notified first, please join the waitlist by emailing [email protected]

Thank you for all for continuing to trust me with your hair and allowing me to step into this new chapter 🌿✨

Hair restoration is rarely a one-and-done solution ✨

This client and I have been working together for about a year, and her journey is a perfect example of why patience and personalization matter.

We started with red light therapy, which helped reduce shedding but didn’t spark significant regrowth. Next, we layered in a serum-based treatment alongside red light — we saw some growth, but it was slow-moving.

When we introduced a higher-strength growth serum, that’s when things shifted. Paired with intentional lifestyle and dietary changes — lowering inflammation, prioritizing whole foods — we finally found what her scalp and body responded to.

Hair loss is complex. It’s influenced by so many internal and external factors, and sometimes it takes time to uncover what actually works for your biology. This is a marathon, not a sprint — and I’m committed to continuing to look at the full picture, identify the root causes, and adjust treatments so my clients can see real, sustainable results.

If you’ve felt discouraged along your hair journey, know this: progress is possible when we stop chasing quick fixes and start listening to our bodies 🤍

Hair growth is an inside-out process🌿

What you eat plays a major role in scalp health, hair strength, and long-term growth. These are the nutrients I always look at first when clients are struggling with shedding, breakage, or thinning.

Save this for later ✨
