• Exfoliating 2-3x a week and moisturizing daily is a must for skin health and reducing bumps and ingrowns.
• Shaving disrupts your hair growth cycles. Coming every 4-6 weeks is so important for more comfortable waxes and not having baby stubbles left behind.
• Hold your knees as close to your chest as you can for the strips in the back. Us waxers can only remove the hair we can see.
• Bar soap leaves a film on your skin so it isn’t able to breathe. Bacteria in your pores is anaerobic. Your pores need oxygen and AHAs or BHAs to break down sebum and oils. Loofahs harbor bacteria so every time you use one you are introducing bacteria to your skin. Opt for a silicone scrubbing cleansing mit instead.
• There are some great options in stores! But… your esthetician went to school and does regular ongoing education on products. If you can’t afford a professional product that’s okay! Ask your esthetician for a store brand product that will work for you instead of going in blind.
