Your first session creates the foundation. Once everything is fully healed, we can evaluate pigment retention and make any necessary refinements at the follow-up appointment.

Brow Cover-Up ✨

Cover-up work is not just about making old brows darker. It’s about knowing how to work with what’s already there.

When a client comes in with previous permanent makeup, I have to evaluate the existing shape, pigment, saturation, skin and remaining brow hair before deciding what can safely and realistically be done.

For this client, the goal was to work with the previous brow while creating a cleaner shape, better definition and a softer, more natural-looking result.

Cover-up and correction work requires experience because every case is different. Sometimes we can work directly over previous pigment, while other cases may require correction, lightening or removal first.

Why Combo Brows? ✨

This transformation is a great example of why I love combo brows. By combining natural-looking hair strokes with carefully placed shading, I can create structure, fullness and definition while still keeping the finished brow soft and believable.

The goal isn’t to simply “fill in” a brow. It’s to design a shape around your facial structure, existing hair, skin and desired result — then choose the technique that will get us there.

One of the biggest things I explain to my clients is that your brows will not look exactly the same healed as they do the day we finish them.

Immediately after your appointment, the strokes can appear darker, sharper and more defined. As the skin heals, the pigment softens and settles, creating the natural, delicate result you see here.

This healed result is what we’re working toward: soft color, visible hair strokes and brows that blend naturally with your own brow hair.

Powder Brows → Combo Brows ✨

Can old powder brows be transformed into a softer, more dimensional look? Absolutely. 🤎

This is Session 1 of converting existing powder brows into combo brows. Rather than simply adding more pigment over the previous work, the goal is to strategically introduce hair-like strokes that create texture, dimension, and a more natural appearance.

Because we’re working over existing permanent makeup, this type of transformation is a process. We start conservatively, allow everything to heal, evaluate how the new strokes settle with the existing pigment, and then refine the brows during the next session.

Why combo brows? They give us the best of both worlds: the definition and fullness of shading with the natural texture of individual hairstrokes.
