A family ranch in NE Nevada raising the best Driftwood horses for ranching, roping, rodeo, & barrels We run a large herd of purebred Black and Red Angus cows.
We are a family owned and operated ranch located in NW Nevada. We sell all of our bulls private treaty. We have used artificial insemination for over 40 years and believe that we have some of the best genetics available in the industry. Our horse program was born out of necessity as we ride to move, doctor, and check our cows. We have bred our horses for disposition as well as usability. Our focus has been on foundation bloodlines that have proven themselves many times over on the ranch as well as in the rodeo arena. Driftwood, Joe Reed, Leo, and Joe Hancock breeding make up the majority of our bloodlines. We have a Quarter Horse production sale in June of every other year. Our next sale will be on June 24th 2023. Go to our website for more information.

Calvo Ripped in Red is a sire of “real” functional cattle. His son’s are shapey, stout, and masculine and his daughters are beautiful, correct, and feminine. This is him coming in from wintering out with no supplements. There’s seven bulls sired by him that will be selling in our annual bull sale on Thursday, November 5.

Our fall calving cows are almost done calving. Being born in weather this nice makes for lively calves. If we don’t catch them soon after birth, we aren’t catching them on foot from the truck. They require a horse and roper to get them caught so they can be tagged. None of the ropers here on the ranch are ever sad to get that call!
