HELLO FRIENDS… We were able to establish a fire line around the Enchanted Forest and my neighbors house; plus 2 line breaks on the Forest Service property behind me. Not a well maintained area, since it’s FS land and I like having that second line of defense. Sorry for any inconvenience my absence caused, all affected packages will be adjusted. They started out behind my house on Forest Service Land. The cat came across at 50’ from my property line, and then I had them come back to the old fire road @ 20’ from my property line and went across there to the Slide Ridge side. My neighbor helped navigate the turn wide and the trail going down my property on the Slide Ridge side is beautiful!! I could feel Wayne out there today guiding me to the best path of least resistance. This was accomplished in just a couple hours and gone over twice. Ruff 🐶 approves and my comfort level is cautiously optimistic.. 😇 You can definitely see the difference in FS land and my maintained Enchanted Forest.. Today was a good day! Back to work tomorrow..XOXO ❤️

The Salon is going to be CLOSED today only. They’re bringing the Equipment to put the fire road in on my Enchanted Forest and I feel like I need to be here to make sure it’s in the right place. It’s very eerie here today and my gut is telling me I need to stay.. I’m so incredibly sorry for the inconvenience! I’m not gonna lie, I am scared and wish Wayne was here to advise me.. I don’t want to mess up.. I’ll keep you posted with updates. Please forgive the late notice and thank you for understanding!!

🌸 HELLO FRIENDS I met with the fire coordinator today. They’re going to reopen the old Tyee Fire line on the Slide Ridge side of my house. We did this in 2022 when we had a fire up here as a preventative measure in case it got this far. The line will come up my property line and wrap around my house on the Forest Service land in back and tie into my neighbors creating a nice barrier if needed. Ruff 🐶 & I will be at the Salon regular hours tomorrow and all week unless something changes. Gibbs would be impressed I actually was paying attention all of those years.. 🥰❤️😇

😇 Girl Day.. I’m still on Level 1 and while it’s smoky, stinky and eerie looking; I’m doing OK so far. It cooled off a LOT last night. It’s 55 degrees here right now, so hopefully the cool night helped them make progress on these fires. HAPPY AUGUST!! First off: Prayers to all affected by the fires!🔥.. The Enchanted Forest is on Level 1 evacuation. Ruff 🐶 & I are safe at the Salon. My neighbors are keeping an eye on things for me until I get home tonight. The Salon is OPEN Regular hours today unless something drastic changes.
