The department has lowered our flags, Friday, April 10, 2026, in honor of United States Air Force Major Ariana Linse Savino.
Savino, 31, of Covington, died March 12, 2026, in an incident in Western Iraq during a combat mission with Iran. Savino was among six servicemembers who died following the loss of a refueling aircraft in Iraq.
Today, we honor her and the ultimate sacrifice she gave serving her country. May peace and comfort surround her family and loved ones. 💙❤️🇺🇸
