In 2007, my mom went through chemotherapy and radiation for cancer. The radiation to her brain permanently damaged her hair follicles.

As her hair dresser, she would often say to me “Please cover the bald spot on the top.”

It became harder to accomplish as time went on. She would refrain from social outings not because she felt bad but because she didn’t like the way she looked.

This is what brought me into the hair replacement side of hair styling.

I’ll post a picture of my pretty mom in her topper and full wig if I can find a good one. She wouldn’t want a bad pic of her floating around on social media.

Introducing Jane, a client with a good amount of hair loss.
We moved her from a full synthetic wig to a HH topper.

Problem was we needed a larger base with short hair.

This is a men’s HH unit, custom colored to match Jane’s bio hair and added clips.

Can you tell the difference between bio hair and topper?

The risk of developing noticeable hair loss from semaglutide is low however it is listed as an uncommon side effect and we have had seen this is our customer base. There is not enough research to determine if the hair loss is from the medication itself or rapid weight loss.
Studies estimate hair loss occurs in roughly 3-9 people per 1000 users. Most semaglutide related hair loss is temporary. Once your weight stabilizes and your nutritional status improves, hair should begin to grow back. The process is slow and may take 3-6 months or more to recover.
It is important to follow the guidelines from your prescriber on the proper protein intake and multivitamin regiment.
