Getting it done! Double workouts today. It’s nice to have variety in the workout programs that I do. It keeps me from getting bored and it also keeps me going and not wanting to give in and quit. The way the weather has been going lately I have to keep moving and there is no if’s, and’s or but’s about it.

Getting the workouts done one day at a time. Sometimes switching out programs or trainers to change your routine to get a different perspective on your workout schedule makes a difference in how you feel and how you start your day.

Final week of LIIFT4 but not the final week of my journey that never stops. Now to figure out my next program.
Today is rest day. Just as important as the workouts itself. I like to take my walks at the park but this crazy weird weather is not making it easy for me. One day it’ll show it’s going to snow and another it’s going to rain. Please make up your mind, I don’t like walking in the neighborhood and have to watch for cars or other walkers going the opposite direction with their dog. Nothing against people and their dogs, just trying to avoid them when they start to growl. Sometimes the dogs have such strength that their owners can’t hold them back.🤷🏼♀️

Over the course of 7 weeks, I have consistently applied myself, recognizing that proactive effort takes precedence over inaction. It is straightforward to opt for inactivity, but achieving something meaningful necessitates dedication. I made a deliberate decision to prioritize my well-being, acknowledging its significance. Although rest days are essential, I remain committed to my schedule to prevent succumbing to complacency and compromising my objectives. My goal is to engage in diverse activities without the added burden of health-related stress. I am not going to relinquish or abandon this routine. Take pride in yourself and do something for you and your health.

Change takes time. Habits takes time. Don’t feel like you’re a failure because of what you’re hoping for and expecting. It’s the process during the hard work is what’s most important. With life there is always interruptions, life’s happening, schedules. It’s the habit you created by constantly showing up and doing the work. It’s doing what’s best for yourself and your health. Show up for yourself. Yourself will be grateful. Have a great Monday!

LIIFT4, Week 5, Legs 50/50 is done! Half lifting and Half HIIT. Even with weights it’s tiring but, the workout is done. Three more weeks to go!
On my 5th week of LIIFT4. I will keep doing this morning routine of getting up, getting dressed, pressing play and getting the workout done. No matter what weights I lift, or high I do not jump or how many push ups I cannot do. I will keep doing what I try to do because it’s better than not doing anything. It’s better than sitting on the side lines and letting life keep you down. It’s better than you’ve fallen and can’t get up and no one is around to help you get back up.
You know that video of a woman who fell and says, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up? Well, I watched this video of a guy teaching his Grandma how to get up from the floor if she fell. She struggled at first, then she tried to use a chair but her grandson said no, try to get up without the use of a chair. He made her do it with and without the chair. Sometimes you have to fight the urge to be lazy. To relax and chill is one thing, but to be completely lazy is another. Routine will take over and before you realize it days, weeks, and months will pass by and guess what? You’ve become the person that someone has to help get off the floor. Not because of a disability but because your body has forgotten how to move or get up off the floor. Don’t take my word for it, take a look around and see for yourself. Take a walk, do a little stretching, do something. You are alive, go live a little and explore your city, your state, your country. It’s waiting for you.

Thirteen years later I am still here. It’s been about 7 months since my last post. I am still showing up and pressing play. I have had my good days and my days where I just don’t wanna press play but being that I refuse to go out in this darn cold I just get up and head downstairs and press play. I do what I gotta do and get it done. This program eases you back in with a schedule that you can work with. You work out 4 days and rest three. How can you beat that? Anyway, I just finished my 4th week and moving forward on my 5th week on Monday. You decide what days you do your workout. Hey, can’t get any better than that. Now that my workout is done it’s time to eat! TGIF! Happy Friday!
Just got done with my Yoga for the day and I will say trying to balance on carpet or a yoga mat is very challenging. I will also say my favorite yoga poses are Mountain pose and Savasana. Definitely got my balance there perfectly! 😁 There was a time that doing some of the other poses used to be a cinch now it’s a challenge.
