1. Going earlier is better for so many reasons! You can live in your look and see how everything settles. There’s time for adjustments and touchups. Your curls can set longer. You get to look freakin hot in all the morning candids. Don’t worry. it’s our job to make you look good ALL day
2. Sure we will make you a timeline for a general vision of the morning, but in all of my time in this industry (over a decade) never have we ever stuck to the schedule. One girl is done, it’s time to start the next. The next girl’s not there, I’m grabbing someone else. It’s not like appointments at a salon. Our mission that morning is to get everyone done in our time block, period.
3. You maybe wear your veil for 15 minutes- 2 hours that day. We’ve even had a few brides forget to even put it on! Gorgeous and wanted don’t get me wrong- But maybe a good opportunity for your something borrowed!
4. I know I know moms, grandmas, sisters, they get nervous because they’ve had a bad experience in the past. And sure , we’ll do a trial run if they really want one. But my mental rolodex is filled with all things bride wedding mornings.
5. Babygirl, 30 services in 3 hours? The math ain’t mathin on that one.
✨It was a random Wednesday evening in the middle of volleyball season at a neighborhood salon we didn’t even get regular services at. My sweet mom, who’s had a pixie cut since her early 20’s and 2 boys before me, took me to a class to learn how to style my wild hair. I honestly don’t even remember the actual class, but what I DO remember is afterwards giving all of my teammates their own cool braids before our games. OMG I loved it. And then I started playing more with my hair. And then school dances came. And I guess the rest, as they say, is history !
Now I get to work alongside my 5 teammates every weekend. I’ve gotten to experience behind the scenes at NY and Paris Fashion Week. We’ve gotten to go to countless beautiful locations to style our gorgeous brides.
-All because my mom took me to a braiding class in the 6th grade. Crazy. -
