If you work in hair, makeup, film, fashion, or beauty education and you’re not paying attention to Texture On Set yet… you probably should be. As a textured hair stylist and makeup artist trying to expand into production, editorial, and on-set work, I needed to be in rooms where the conversations were bigger than just trends.
It wasn’t just another hair show! I met artists working in corporate beauty, television, film, fashion week, celebrity, and beauty campaigns. I got to watch techniques up close, ask questions, and see how textured hair is finally being centered instead of treated like an afterthought.
The biggest thing I gained honestly wasn’t even just technique. It was confirmation. Every year I leave inspired, more informed, and more intentional about where I’m headed next.

Soft glam. Full glam. Camera-ready. Bridal mornings. Long production days. Quick touch-ups in the background of a shoot. We’ve done a little bit of everything over here. 💋
Somewhere between surviving a pandemic, rebuilding, entrepreneurship, and trying to become the next version of myself… makeup quietly took a step to the side for a while. But artistry never really leaves you. It lives in your hands. In your eye. In the way you notice light, skin, texture, and emotion before other people do.
So here’s a little reminder that yes, I still do makeup. And I still love creating faces that feel elevated, intentional, soft, powerful, and still you.

If your extensions are “breaking your hair,” it’s usually not the extensions.
It’s one of these:
1. No maintenance schedule
2. Poor install tension
3. Incompatible method for your density
4. Skipping scalp care
5. Going too long between move-ups
High-end results require high-level maintenance.
Extensions are a luxury service — and luxury requires structure.
Pro Tip:
If you can’t commit to maintenance every 6–8 weeks, you don’t need extensions yet. You need a healthy hair reset first.

I’ve been with CiCi for years now, and when I tell you my hair has never been this healthy… I mean it.
When I first started wearing extensions, I was nervous. I had heard all the horror stories about breakage, thinning edges, no growth. But what I didn’t realize is that extensions don’t damage your hair… poor maintenance does.
From day one, she focused on my foundation. Scalp care. Proper tension. Consistent treatments. Trim schedule. Real education.
Now? My natural hair is longer, fuller, and stronger than it’s ever been and I still get to enjoy the length and fullness of my extensions year-round.

I’ll be stepping away for a short sabbatical beginning this week and returning October 1st. This season is about relocating, resting, and preparing for an elevated Q4 experience for all of my beautiful clients.
