This has been a long time in the making, now we’re so happy to announce that Scrub Botanicals Apiary is now live! Our small batch honey is available exclusively at .

If you didn’t know, Carla our owner is an experienced beekeeper and our apiary is located right here at SBHQ in West Chester. Bees are so vital to our local ecology, so we’re dedicated doing our part to support the local bee populations, native and honeybees alike by planting native plants and keeping organic, all natural and sustainable. Our honey is raw and unfiltered, preserving the natural nutrients and antioxidants.

Get over to Melangell and scoop some up while they last. Small batches! Don’t forget to grab a bar of soap to wash up those sticky fingers!

The Exfoliator. It means business. This bar lives on my utility sink at all times. It’s perfect for scrubbing up after working on messy projects in the garage. I used mine to scrub off wood glue, gas/oil mix, and fertilizer today alone. It left no lingering odors and had my hands feeling soft and clean. It’s a must have!

Lining those loaves up. The bars you scrub with are hand cut down from these over three pound loaves. Could I make larger batches? Sure, I could. But I prefer to work in small batches keeping the quality high, letting these killer ingredients shine, and making them with care using these two hands of mine.

So excited to be offering Scrub Botanicals at Melangell Antiques House & Garden. This beautiful new antique shop is right on Pottstown Pike right in West Chester in a gorgeous 1908 home.

The shop is loaded with beautiful vintage serveware, plates, glassware, artwork, garden accents, and so much more! There are big things in the pipeline at Melangell and we’re happy to be along for the ride!

Citrus Blossom. It’s a customer favorite for a damn good reason!

On top of our base of skin loving plant based oils and butters we’ve put our own Scrub twist. No colorant needed, swipe to see the essential oil blend of Lemongrass, Litsea cubeba, and Blood Orange adds the bright golden coloring naturally.

Plus you know we always put the Scrub in SB, in this case organic lemon peel is our unexpected exfoliant. Swipe to swipe the blend of very fine and borderline coarse dried peel. It cleanses, fighting acne, pigmentation, wrinkles with all of its antioxidant properties combating free radicals. It’s citric acid and Vitamin C stimulate the production of collagen, aiding in firming and rejuvenating skin.

So yeah, it’s soap. But ours isn’t your average bar. 🧼

Happy Spring! We’ve awakened from our winter slumber the Scrub is back!

Today is the opening day of our favorite local farm, Pete’s Produce! They grow amazing, tasty veggies and fruits all season long. Lots of local products with an amazing crew always working their tails off to keep it fresh and ready! Plus they have great taste in soap - our full lineup is available all season long!

New Soap Highlight: Herbal Tea Tree!

People wanted a Christmas soap, but I can’t do anything basic so this is what I ended up with. A bright amalgamation of mint and eucalyptus with a hefty dose of tea tree oil - strongly herbal, fresh, and soothing. As if the scent wasn’t enough, check the benefits of this essential oil trio. It’s got the three As: antibacterial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties. Tea tree is an excellent purifying herbaceous botanical, used in the treatment of acne, skin, and foot and nail issues. This bar is imparted with poppy seeds for moderate exfoliation.

So yeah, it does smell like ‘Christmas’, but it’s so much more and will be a part of our year round lineup!

New Soap Highlight: Sweet Basil + Grapefruit

As lifelong Basil champions, this bar has been a long time in the making. As a horticulturist, Basil is a beautiful multifaceted plant. Sure it’s famously used culinarily (🇮🇹!!), but it’s essential oil is an excellent natural cleanser, removing excess oils and impurities from skin in addition to being antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.

It’s added pumice is perfect by the kitchen sink to scrub off that dishpan hand and return moisture to your skin. Or in the bathroom, also the shower. Basil is a versatile bitch, that’s why we love her so much!

It’s been quiet over here on Scrub social media but we sure have have been busy soaping behind the scenes. We’ve got all the soap you need for holiday gifting and your own personal scrub needs.

Plussss not one, two, but THREE new soap drops: Sweet Basil + Grapefruit, Fresh Fir, and Herbal Tea Tree. They’re seasonally inspired but perfect for use year round and will be part of the Scrub lineup all year long. Additionally, all of your OG favorites are restocked!

We love to support local, small businesses during the holidays. Throw your support behind this q***r female owned small business. It doesn’t get much smaller than me - Carla and my two cats. Quality control officers Etta James and Billie Holiday can’t be reached for comment, as they are currently napping.
