Hey everyone, please join me in welcoming Ms. Kennedi!

Kennedi is a sophomore at Spelman College, where she is majoring in Biochemistry on the pre-med track. She is deeply interested in understanding the social determinants of women’s health and the systemic disparities that contribute to inequitable birth outcomes, and she was referred to me to learn more about this important work.

Kennedi will be shadowing me this summer, so you may see her out and about as she gains hands-on exposure to maternal health, public health advocacy, and community-based care.

We attended a community baby shower this morning, even counseled a few moms! And, I must admit, she may have already convinced Jubilee to attend Spelman College πŸ©΅πŸ’™ instead of Howard πŸ’™β€οΈπŸ˜’πŸ˜‚

Please help me give Kennedi a warm welcome! πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€
