What moment this week made you quietly proud — even if no one else noticed? ☺️

What if it isn't imposter syndrome?
You know you're competent.
You know the program is good.
You know you're ready to put it into the world.
And then it's time to actually be seen.
Suddenly you're exhausted. You're tweaking the website again. Rewriting the announcement. Questioning the offer. Wondering if you're talking about yourself too much.
The excitement that created the thing in the first place seems to disappear.
I've been thinking about this very differently lately.
For some of us—particularly entrepreneurs who were socialized as girls—shame may not simply be a painful feeling we need to overcome.
It may be an old defense.
If you grew up in a family system where staying connected required you to monitor yourself, shame could actually provide a child with a strange kind of control:
If I'm the problem, I can fix me.
Then patriarchy comes along and reinforces the lesson:
Be powerful, but palatable.
Successful, but not intimidating.
Visible, but don't seek attention.
Have boundaries, but don't be difficult.
And THEN we become entrepreneurs. 😂
Now we're supposed to promote ourselves, charge what we're worth, tolerate criticism, have opinions, take up space, make money, and build something that belongs to us.
No wonder some nervous systems hit the brakes.
My new newsletter is about shame, entrepreneurship, patriarchy—and why sometimes the work isn't building more confidence.
It's going back to where the brakes got installed.
And P.S. EMDR can help.

Notice your breath — not to fix it, just to meet it.
👉 Practice: Silently name it: shallow, deep, rushed, slow. Curiosity only.
