Five years ago today, on my birthday, I welcomed my very first client into Caela Esthetics. 🤎✨
I had no idea then what this little dream would grow into or how many incredible people I’d meet along the way. I’m beyond grateful for every client (many of whom have become so much more than to me) who has trusted me, supported me, referred friends and family, or simply cheered me on. You’ve allowed me to build a career and space I truly love.
Celebrating 38 today, but getting to celebrate 5 years of Caela Esthetics alongside it makes this birthday even sweeter. 🎂🤎

My birthday plans definitely haven’t gone the way I hoped this year. 🤍 Hawaii didn’t happen due to the hurricanes, plans changed more than once, and if I’m being real, there’s been a lot of disappointment around a week I was really looking forward to.
Palm Springs was our attempt to make the best of it, and even that didn’t quite go according to plan but thanks to my beautiful mama for the quick getaway. 😂🌴
But my birthday is tomorrow, and I’m trying to remind myself that things not turning out the way I pictured doesn’t mean there still can’t be beautiful moments in between.
So tonight, I’m choosing to enjoy where I am, be grateful for what I do have, and leave a little room for 38 to surprise me. 🤍✨ anyways, here’s to being real but also still being grateful for all of the beauty in my life.

I know this is different from what I normally share here and has nothing to do with skincare. But as a woman, and as someone who has experienced how difficult it can be to find healthcare providers who truly listen and take your concerns seriously when it comes to mental health, this conversation feels too important not to share.
If you haven’t looked into the Lindsay Clancy case, I encourage you to. Not to tell you what to believe, but because it raises incredibly important questions about postpartum mental health, access to care, and what happens when someone is asking for help.
This is also not meant to discredit the incredible doctors and healthcare providers who change lives every day. Everyone deserves access to that level of care.
We need to demand better healthcare, better access to mental health resources, and a system that takes people seriously when they say they are not okay. 🤍
