What is a Sports Massage?
This can mean something slightly different depending on who you ask, honestly. There are many different styles and modalities to be used, as well as differences in client needs.
Each of my sessions is customized with a client depending on their activity levels and body needs.
Overall in my practice, sports massage is a way for me to categorize a more dynamic session for an individual who has an active lifestyle. We’ll use lots of movement throughout the session, pin & stretch, compression, and probably deep tissue techniques.
The goal is to work with your body in a way that promotes more than just relaxation. Helping the muscles recover from either new or strenuous activity. Enabling them to continue working hard for you.
Whether you’re a college athlete, or a parent lifting in the basement after bedtime, a sports massage can be a great way to support your goals and keep you moving the way you want.
(If you wanna know a secret, these sessions are some of my favorites because I get to be a part of someone’s long term journey)

Just finished an incredible weekend with . I originally came for the Continuing Education courses, and ended up making so many connections with some amazing therapists from across the country. I’m grateful for everyone I was able to watch and learn from this weekend.
🏅 I did get persuaded to join the competition portion and was lucky enough to take 1st place in Chair Massage as well as 3rd place in Swedish Massage.
It was so eye opening to watch all the competitors and see the way they prepare for these. Excited to start implementing things I learned this weekend with you all. 🙌🏼
