Microblading: another positive! Numbing!! Microblading shouldn’t hurt because you are being numbed throughout the process. You are numbed for the first time before you ever touched by the microblading pen. Then, you are numbed after every step! I have the experience and let me tell you! This does not hurt like a traditional tattoo. It’s awesome! At the beginning, you skin might feel cold and tight, but that’s it! It’s nice to know you can do this easily!

Hi! I’m not just a microblading artist, I’m also a microblading recipient. I went to high school in the early 2000’s, so not only was I an emo kid, but I also plucked my eyebrows into a straight line as was the style at the time. My brows have recovered some, but they’re still very patchy. This was the result after the first session. I go back for my follow up next month. So if you have questions about how microblading feels, I also know from experience. If you have questions about the flaky patchy period, I also know about that from experience. Please reach out with any questions you might have!

What is the difference between microblading (semi permanent) and traditional (permanent) tattooing?

The skin has three layers: the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue. The difference between microblading and traditional tattooing is how deep the ink is being deposited into the skin.

Microblading only goes into the epidermis layer. The epidermis is constantly growing outwards to the top which is why pigment will eventually fade over time.

Permanent tattoos, what people generally think of when talking about tattoos, deposits ink deeper in the skin into the dermis layer; making it permanent.
Microblading is considered a tattoo, but is more commonly referred to as semi permanent. There is a chance that your microblading could be permanent. It could last a lifetime, but there are no guarantees either way.
