Aloha Readers,

I know this post might be slightly controversial, but I felt the need to voice an opinion that might not be as popular in current times.

I will start off by saying that each business has a right to charge whatever they feel is right, and I respect whatever people choose to do with their own business. The past year, I have read many posts of beauty service industry businesses that have chosen not to accept tips, and I just want to be a voice for the other side, because I believe we should always keep an open mind to all sides 🤓

“Reasons Why I Still Accept Tips/Gratuity As An Esthetician”

🍍 My earning potential is not capped or limited (I don’t have a traditional job where I earn OT or Bonuses) & I deserve to keep my earning potential open, as an Esthetician with 11 years in the game

🍍 I absolutely do not expect everyone to tip; I understand some people cannot & do not judge anyone for not tipping! I have many clients that do not and treat them with the same love and care

🍍 I’ve worked in the service industry for 20 years now and love providing quality service and my time commitment to my clients & try to go beyond just providing a service because I absolutely love what I do & accepting tips/gratuities is just one of the perks of the career paths I chose. My mom was a nail technician growing up and was gratefully able to accept tips.

🍍 Not only am I your Esthetician, I am your confidante, your therapist & your cheerleader in life! Again, I completely understand if it is not in your budget to tip, but I will always graciously accept & appreciate it immensely 🙏🏼❤️
