So Vanessa sold the shop? NOT YET, AS OF JANUARY 1ST 2027.

So Vanessa is retiring? NO, SHE IS NOT! SHE'S GOING TO BE RIGHT WHERE SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN.

So where is Sara's Salon going to be ? SHE IS BUYING OUR SALON AND WILL BE DOING BUSINESS IN THE SAME LOCATION AS "THE MANE COLLECTIVE".

We hope this gives some clarification and alleviates any confusion and worry.

Starting January 1st, 2027, Sara Steele will officially take the lead, and the salon will transition to its new name: The Mane Collective. This name truly reflects not just what we do, but how we do it—a collective of independent, highly skilled stylists working together as a seamless, supportive team.
As the owner of Vanessa’s Salon for 40 years—14 of them right here at our current location—I am thrilled to announce that I will be passing the torch to Sara Steele! Sara has been with us since the beginning here in West Lebanon.
This was a deeply thought-out decision. Throughout my career as a salon owner, I have been immeasurably blessed to help other stylists build successful, independent careers—a gift I received early on in my own journey. Sara has shared that same passion for a long time, and she is ready to carry on that mantle, empowering stylists to succeed on their own terms.
I have complete confidence that Sara will preserve our successful business model while introducing her own unique style and personal touch.
The best part? You won’t even notice a disruption! All the same talented ladies will be here—including ME! I am not retiring!
Down the road, you can look forward to some fresh renovations as Sara puts her personal touch on the space. It’s an exciting new chapter, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

What a huge loss! I've always considered her as part of our proffession as she was iconically a hair queen. She made wigs a "thing" and did it with flair and a profound confidence.
