If you are getting married in 2026 or 2027 chances are you already have a Pinterest board full of hairstyles with big voluminous fluffy curls or Hollywood waves or even full twisty updos.

All of those looks are gorgeous for any wedding but what you can’t tell from all of those Pinterest pics is that most if not all of them are wearing extensions to get the fullness and volume. Unfortunately most of us girlies are not blessed with the thickness, density or texture to create those big fluffy curls.

🔥Here is a quick way to measure your hairs “density”…

✅ Look at your dry hair in the mirror without deliberately parting it.
1️⃣ Low Density: Your scalp is easily visible and tends to look “scalpy”.
2️⃣ Medium Density: Your scalp is somewhat visible, especially when you gently shift the hair.
3️⃣ High Density: Your scalp is hard to see, even when parted.

✅ The Ponytail Circumference Test: Brush your hair into a dry, smooth, and tight ponytail. Wrap a soft measuring tape around the base of the elastic and check the circumference:
1️⃣ < 2 inches: Low-density hair.
2️⃣ 2 - 3 inches: Medium-density hair.
3️⃣ 4+ inches: High-density hair.
