✂️ Two days. Two very different cuts. A whole lot of “WAIT… I can do that?!” moments. 🔥

I had the pleasure of facilitating Redken Principles of Design with an amazing group of stylists from Anastasia Salons in Portland, Oregon. We took a deep dive into the why behind haircutting and pushed those principles a little outside the box.

Day 1: We took on the Wolf Cut, but not the usual way. 👀
Different areas, different principles, different tools, and different ways of using those tools. We broke the haircut down so the stylists could really see how the pieces work together.

Day 2: We put those principles to work on a short haircut. Starting with an inspiration photo, we mapped out the layering, shapes, and principles needed to recreate the look, then explored how to customize it for the actual guest sitting in our chair.

And the Anastasia team? They jumped ALL the way in. 🙌
The discoveries, questions, lightbulb moments, and willingness to try something new made this class so much fun.

The goal was never just to copy a haircut. It was to understand why it works, so they can confidently create, customize, and troubleshoot the haircut their guest actually wants.
