There are some clients who change you forever, and she was one of them.

Today I’m mourning the loss of a woman who meant so much more to me than just a client. I’ve had the honor of doing her hair for many years, and every single appointment with her was a gift I never took for granted.

She was a sweet little spitfire in every sense of the word—full of life, full of music, and full of joy. She loved to sing, knew every word to her favorite songs, and had a way of lighting up the room the second she walked in. She was the life of the party. These are the moments I’ll carry with me always.

This is one of those losses that reminds me what an incredible privilege my job truly is. To sit across from someone, care for them, laugh with them, and build a relationship that becomes so much more than hair… that is the real work. And clients like her are why I do what I do.

My heart is broken, but it is also so full of gratitude. Thank you for trusting me, for sharing your light, and for leaving a piece of your spirit with me. You will forever be part of my story.

Rest easy Peg, beautiful soul. 🤍

I finally got my haircut after a YEAR.

I’m definitely one that preach’s SELF CARE to my clients. I honestly feel like it’s so important for our mental health. Yesterday I remembered why I tell every client to take time for themselves, I should listen to my own advice more often!
