REAL TALK... 🫶🏽
7 YEARS IN THIS INDUSTRY AND IT HAS BEEN ANYTHING BUT EASY. I WENT STRAIGHT TO RENTING A CHAIR OUT OF BEAUTY SCHOOL, NO SAFETY NET, JUST FAITH IN MYSELF AND THE DREAM.
I WAS A SINGLE MOM OF 4 GIRLS, ONE WITH CEREBRAL PALSY, AND THE SOLE PROVIDER. CASSIDYS OPEN BACK SURGERY, A COMA, LIFE FALLING APART IN WAYS I NEVER EXPECTED — EVERY TIME I THOUGHT I WAS READY TO COME BACK TO THE CHAIR, SOMETHING PULLED ME AWAY. FOR A LONG TIME I CONVINCED MYSELF IT JUST WASN'T MY TIME.
THEN MY PARTNER SAID SOMETHING THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING — "CONSISTENCY IS KEY BABY, AND YOU'VE BEEN LETTING LIFE TAKE CONTROL. IT'S TIME YOU TAKE CONTROL. FIND A PLACE THAT FEELS RIGHT AND MAKE IT HAPPEN."
